Do you keep photos in an album or in digital form these days?

With almost everything turning digital, photos too have become digital. They are a collection of alphabets and numbers which when put together form a picture on the screen. Gone are the days when seeing old photographs meant taking the album out of the cupboard, cleaning off the dust and then noticing that some of the photographs have got faded and some are stuck to the sheet due t moisture. No fading, no deforming no tearing. Now it is all digital. With most cameras digital, we have ease of taking and viewing out pictures instantly instead of waiting till they are developed and printed by the photographer. Do you store yor photographs on your computer and CDs/DVDs or still rely on the good old album?

A bit of both. I have so many old albums, but they are cumbersome and take up a lot of closet space. I've taken to storing them on thumb drives or on digital storage sites like snapfish. It does clear out a lot of extra space in the house, but I do miss pulling out old albums and looking at old pics.

I do both these days. I like to keep my photos in a digital album, this allows me to choose and pick the ones that I want from a digital album say Picasa to create an album for my friend on a CD to give them to view as a slideshow. Also, I like to print out my picutres sometimes as a hard copy for those that might be interested in having a real photo to see.

I enjoy keeping photos in a album, although some are digitally stored. I enjoy the convenience of a store bought 27 exposure camera over digital, although hope to get a digital camera some day as well, although like I Said, it's not really needed.

For some older people, they may like to keep photos on the traditional album. But I like taking photos in digital and keep them on my computer or CDs/DVDs because it seems so convenient, isn't it?Digital things make the world more and more colourful.I believe it will be better and better in the future.

i do both. i like having my photo albums that i can look at when ever i want to. but i like to save all my pics on disk so if something happens to my pics i will have a backup. i think it is a good idea to save your pics on disk and have someone that does not live with you hold on to them so if you have a fire or something like that you will have a back up of all your pics.

Hi mercuryman I use a digital camera.I take photos and videos with it. I store them in my computer as well as in snapfish.com. I also post some of the photos in orkut. Keeping photos in a album is no more a practice for many people. But everyone even today wants to keep a wedding Album. Happy mylotting

I have some photos that are digital and some still in the regular form. Most of them were taken by our old 35 mm camera, but the more recent one was taken by our two digital cameras, one that is no longer in use. The one we use now takes 5 mm so maybe we can get a better one. I have the photos on disc, flash drive, and on my computer. The disc and flash drive are for back up.

I have taken quite a lot of digital photos and it is not possible I will print them out and keep them in a photo album. Today I like to burn them into DVD. And I also use a software to convert it so that we will be able to watch our photos from TV with nice features and songs. I think this is the best way to enjoy our photos today. And I will also upload the digital photos via the net so that my friends will see them, too. I love China

I must admit that it's been a while since I organized photos in a photo album 'cause you're right, it's all digital now. But, it's still always nice to look at those photo albums especially when you're with someone, a family member or a friend that you could share it with and reminisce about the old days. I actually wanna do a scrapbook but because of my busy schedule, work and all other things, I just couldn't find the time. But, I'm still hoping that I could do one someday.

Hi mercuryman.. I keep my photos in digital form. Aside from the fact that digital way can come in handy, its very convenient for me to post or upload it to social networks I am a member of and sharing it to my family back home. It also saves a lot of space and money. Imagine I have over a thousand of photographs with my recent trip to Rome. If ever I will print it out, probably half of it, it sure very costly for me. Though sometimes I printed out pictures that I edited already, with captions and all to put it in picture frames. Digital way also is better since I can edit my pictures, put some shots together, put captions, borders and a lot of exciting ways to make the pictures more beautiful. The old ones, I made CD's already but from 2007 and at present are still at my pc and some at my memory cards and flash drives. I may try to find some time to make CD's this year hopefully

I keep the old photos in albums. I even used to print new interesting ones to add to my photo albums. I keep photo albums for convenience. Sometimes relatives and old friends drop by at the house so I can easily show them pictures when needed. I also don't want to be opening my computer just to show them pictures. Except maybe if we it's really necessary. The increase in the price of printer ink and photo papers made me rethink about photo albums. What I did now is to save photos in CDs in a format readable by DVD players. In such way, instead of my computer, I can use the television to let others view the pictures (and even video clips) I have at home.

when digital camera was not this popular, I used to print them out and keep them into an album but I no longer do it since digital camera is so popular, I just transfer it to my computer and upload to some websites to share with people.

Gone are the days when we used to take the photographs using the old paper pictures. Well it was too costy to prepare a picture and the reels were also limited that before taking a picture we had to think twice. But now we don't even care how many pictures we take. And we can take pictures that are able to form continuous animation lol... Now I do really have lot of pictures in my harddisk. They are of many different events. Sometimes its very nice, when I look back the old pictures. I have made the backup of some old pictures too. Your post reminded me the necessity of further backing up the photos. Thanks for reminding... Well, but I have still lot of photos in album too. But they are very very special because they are mostly the oldest photos. And you know the oldest pictures are very very valuable than any super new pictures. I can't loose these pictures in anyway. Some of them I have been able to scan and store in pc, but I don't have my own scanner, so I couldn't do it for all. Nice post...Happy mylotting...
