Is your Birthday an important day?

I have met a number of people for whom their birthday is no big deal. On my birthday I make it out to be a very big deal even if I don't have any special plans. As far as I'm concerned it is just as important as the majpr holidays! I am not bothered by getting older and I think continuing to be around from year to year is worth celebrating in itself since so many people lose their lives everyday and you don't know how long you will be here.
I know some people like Jehovah's witnesses don't do birthdays and some people don't like to think about getting older. What do you do to mark your birthdays?

Yes, its an important day but I rather celebrate in silent or with close friends and relatives. I need not have to announce it to the whole world.

Yes, it is.. i always make sure to celebrate my birthday every year.. Last year, i celebrated my birthday in one of the hotels in Makati City.. In fact, it was a double celebration because my hubby's birthday is only few days away from mine so we have decided to make a big celebration for the two of us.. my close friends wayback in college weren't able to attend because they were pretty busy at school and at work.. but my hubby's officemates(who happens to my friends too) came over to celebrate the most important days of our lives..
