What in the World are they Thinking??

Greetings everyone. Right now I work at a grocery store in the Customer Service desk and I see a ton of bizarre situations each day. Unfortunately, more and more rude people are becoming prominent each day. I see people all the time who are not only rude to me, which isn't okay but is common in my position, but are rude to other customers for no reason! If I'm taking care of a customer and the customer behind them thinks we're taking too long, they'll complain to me but also they'll say rude things like, "Wow this is taking forever" or "Excuse me, when are you gonna be done?" This flabbergasts me because it happens even when I take only a minute or two to take care of my customer. People are so rude nowadays! I try to be nice to everyone, give great customer service and I never complain or make another person feel embarassed or insignificant, and it seems like I get a lot of negative feedback... What happened to everyone's manners??
