Some say that Yao-Ming is the big star of NBA, he made great contribution to the Rocket. But some don't think so, in their opions, Yao is a big guy, and a little bit too big, so that he moves very slowly, which made the Rocket can't speed up.Is Rocket the Yao's team? Or without Yao, the Rocket would be better. What do you think of him, do you like him?

Of course, I am once his fan, I didn't miss even one game in the past game seasons. But frankly, Rocket really let me down. I always thought that next season would be better, but you see, they always can't pass the first round in the play off. Now I dodn't watch their game again. "Hope will be nothing",Rocket tells this to me. So, why should I wast so much time to support them?

Yao is powerful. If Rockets wants to go further , Yao is a key factor. Maybe Yao is slow, but he is a center and a big guy.He can decide a game.

No matter how you look at it, losing yao would never benefit the Rockets. He is their best player no doubt. The only problem with him and T-Mac is they both get injured a lot. and do i mean A LOT!
Just see how Yao dominates teams which have smaller centers and you'll know that he is one of the best ceneters in the league. probably a close second to dwight howard.
The rockets should try and surround him with better perimeter scorers so teams caould not double team him all the time. thats what the rockets did during hakeem olajuwon's time and they won 2 championships. I believe if they do the same, they might have a chance. Now, if only they dont get injured hahhaa

I Watched today's game. Rocket let me down again. They lead 17 point in the 4th section, but they finally lost.

Well, to be honest, without Yao, the Rockets would be nothing but, garbage. They'd be the Sacramento Kings when they had Artest. Really, Yao is a great team player. He doesn't hog the ball, and he takes pretty high % shots. He has a great hook, and im sure, if he was shorter, he'd still be great. Being tall is beneficial, but it doesnt turn "Average" players into "Superstars". Yao is both an icon and superstar in the NBA, and i can see a bright future for the Rockets.

Yeah, I like him, the big one,not only for me, chinses too.
In fact, i like his sprite who loved the game so much, and had done his best to help the team, however the team is or is not his team, i mean, the attitude is everything.
I saw his match when he still played in Shanghai team, and so young, single, now he became mature and was married. Things changed so much, but i think his attitude never change.
But,i think Rocket could not get the champion of NBA!:-)
Just guess!
anyway, i would support Yao all the way!

There is no doubt that Yao is a big star and the leader of Rocket. Now, Tracy will miss all the game remained this season, and hence Rockey depend more on Yao.Losing Yao means losing the game.
Moreover,it's true that as a giant center he moves a bit slowly, but you cannot miss the his ability of domination.Only when Yao is on court, can the shooters get the room the shoot the ball out.
However, without Tracy,I don't believe that Rochet can "red up" any more.

In terms of athletic abilities, yao ming is not fast, but his shooting and passing skills are exceptional for a big man. Without him in the middle, the Rockets would be just an ordinary NBA team, his skills made opposing teams the need to double team him so that he'll not score at will thereby his passing skills will gave his teammates an open shot.

No I think that Yao Ming is a certain asset to the Rockets. He is a big guy yes but he is very skilled as well and is a reliable option on both offense and defense. He demands lots of double teams which often leaves other teammates open for shots. He is a true competitor and without him the Rockets would certainly not be as successful as they are now.
