This is more of a prayer request type discussion. I spoke to all of my children before they left the house today. My 2 youngest know not to bother their sister for today, and when they get home, I'm going to talk with them some more.
This isn't a life or death type surgery, and I don't believe in all of the scary stories about any type of surgery is deemed to be considered life or death.
What are your first thoughts and words to a loved one when they are about to undergo surgery?

I love you see you when you wake up. They need to know that your confident. I have had many surgeries and my parents always tell me we love you and will see you in a little while when you wake up. It comforts me knowing that they know i am going to wake up. I trust them.

Excellent advice. If they see you're confident, it is reassuring.

i learn along time ago, stay postive in front of them, specaily with kids. let them they will be ok through it all. and we'll say a prayer for your daughter as well.
and the other two just explain what's going on with their sister, dont have to be alot of details just expalin it to them.
best of luck to your daughter

I always tell them I love them. I reassure them that the doctors know what they are doing. I like to pray with them, asking the Lord for peace in their hearts for the procedure.
