I am wondering when would recession ends? they said 2-3 years from now. I had friends who are now jobless since they worked from auto companies and they got laid off. They had some last benefits but finding a new job with the same background of experiences can be hard as of the moment. Some companies even freeze hiring.

Well... if it brightens up again in 2-3 years that'll be the target to head for!
It is impossible to give you a time frame within which we could expect to see the end of the recession (or at least a slowdown in it). If I were you I'd buckle down and prepare for a long ride... it may end this year, or it may go on for 5 or 6... we really can't tell. AFter the recession is over, we'll have the joy of trying to payback the massive ammounts of national debt that everyone has aquired, so life will not be easy even then.

yeah, i'm concern about this too. when it is gone differs in various countries and areas. I'm in China and the recession is not obviously as serious as that in Europe, partly because our government don't reveal the shocking facts. Another reason is that its people are less concern about this than Europeans. I guess, in China, it's just begun and may last over two or three years. hope it won't take that long.

it is said that the recession will last for about 7-8years,but i hope it can end ahead of time.my brother also has lost his job. i feel disappointed and upset.maybe what we should do is to enlarge our knowleage and broaden our horizen so thay we can survive in the competitive society!
