I desperately hope to call myself a philanthropist someday. I see such worthy, hard-working, cash-strapped charities and we do set aside money for them FIRST each month, even before we pay our bills. Otherwise, we would never give money to anyone because it just wouldn't be there. It always seems to pan out just fine this way. The needy and just receive a bit of our income first and then we pay our bills and wants. I hope to be able to continue this way and add a new charity each year!
