How many zillions of people thought the world would end in 2000? It didn't, so not too worried about it. Besides, the world won't end, it will just be the end of the way we live now. The world was here for 4 billion years before we came, and will survive our departure just fine.
Now, if you want to know what I would do if I knew I only had 3 years to live....Well, I would live life to it's fullest, spend every moment I can with my family, develop a personal relationship with my Father in heaven and with Jesus Christ, his son, and my brother.
Oh, wait, I am already doing that...so I guess I am prepared for the world to end. LOL

I couldn't agree more.
Two thousand and twelve is NOT the date set in the Bible as the end of the world. In fact, there is no date. As a Christian, the most important thing you can do, Ellen, is to be ready when He comes.
I see it like this. I ask for a ride to church on Sundays. Our church has a van ministry. If I were to say, "Brother D, what time are you coming tomorrow? And he said, "Just be ready when I come, don't worry about it," then at 4 or 5 that morning, I would shower up, get dressed, and make sure my wife and I are ready to roll when he pulls up and blows his horn.
The same with our relationship with God. We need to be ready when His Son gives His great shout: "Come on up!"

Great analogy!! You are lucky to live in an area with a van/bus. We live in an area where we have to drive 30 miles to get to church. I agree, be ready at alltimes and then it won't matter when it does come!
