Two days ago I posted a discussion on how my earnings were going up over at ehow.com, and I got a lot of responses to it, which was really cool, but many people did not even know about this site at all, or about Bukisa, another writing site, so I thought I would share what these sites were with all of you, and if you want to join, I would be MOST appreciative if you would go to my Profile page and sign up through me. The link to all of these sites are on my blog, too, and the link for that is also on my profile page...
eHow.com is a very specific type of writing site on which you publish "how to" articles on just about anything you can sit down and write 400 words about. You are payed through Paypal and the minimum payout is $10.00. They do accept almost every type of article, but they do not allow promotion of websites as articles. The way to make money there is to publish a few articles, join one of there "groups", in which you and other members read and rate eachothers articles. You gat paid by the number of page views on an article, and it varies a lot as to what articles make money and what doesn't. You must promote your articles on other sites like Facebook and myspace.
Bukisa is very much the same type of site, but much less limitting in what you are allowed to publish. I think anything is fair game there, including videos and everything. They pay you the same way. The link to join is on my blog, because I couldn't get it on my profile page here for some reason. Try it out, it's a good site.
I also write and get paid upfront for Associated Content, but they take a while to review articles. I like that they pay up front, though, but have had a few of my articles sent back for editting, and a few denied altogether. They do not allow anypromoting of websites at all in ANY of their articles.
Hope this was of help to you, and good luck making extra money on the web. An extra stream of income is always nice!
