I am reading " A Time To Kill " by Wilbur Smith and after that I have a Travis Megee detective novel.
Trinidad, where I live, has real problems with really good books being available.
So this is what I have. I know I will enjoy both but a variety in choice is limited in this retarded Caribbean island.

Trinidad must be very beautiful!..But why is it hard to get good books there? Is it because its an island and too expensive to be bothered to have books shipped in because they would be too costly?

I have so many books that I am going through always. They sit in stacks around the house. I have four books on blogging from the library. I have four books on religious subjects from Christianity to Judaism. Yesterday I had my old shorthand books and grammar books out. The Gourmet Cookbook is a very good read. I am not much of a fiction reader but do enjoy a good round with one from time to time. Oh, a really fascinating book "The Edge Effect" by Eric Braverman has really kept my attention. This is a book about the brain and the chemicals of the brain. This book is written for the average person to understand and is very fascinating.

Currently reading Witchling by Yasmine Galehorn. It's okay, not really wild about it. It's about these three sisters that are half-fae trying to save Earth and the Otherworld from a demon invasion.
Also, listening in audiobook format Touch the Dark by Karen Chance, the first book in her Cassie Palmer series. It's about Cassie, who is a clairvoyant, and who is on the run from the vampire mob boss that raised her. Started pretty slow for me, but seems to be getting better.

Hi, natalieoeder. Welcome to myLot.
I'm currently reading a book called "Good in Bed" by Jennifer Weiner.

It is our bookclub selection for this month. I have friends who read everything this author ever writes, but this is my first book by her. It is humorous and I'm enjoying it.

Right now my fiance and I are reading the book "Cross Country" By James Patterson. It's a good book so far with a good plot in it as well. We're getting to the exciting parts, although everything James Patterson writes seems to be exciting. We've only read some of another book of his, and we didn't like it so are trying this one. His mom has the whole set almost!
Glad you going to read inkheart, hope you like the book!

To tell you the truth, I used to read a lot. All different types of books both fiction and non fiction.
Then I got on the internet. Now the only books I read are pretty much brainless romance novels. I say that because you dont even need to concentrate as you read and they are all light hearted easy reading.
Other than that, most of the time I am reading discussions here on mylot!

I'm reading Q and A by Vikas Swarup. It's the book that Slumdog Millionaire is based on, but I think the book is pretty good. I got the last copy at my local bookstore that still had the original cover (well, it had a little sticker that said it was the inspiration for Slumdog Millionaire) and the original title. The new ones have the movie cover and they say: Slumdog Millionaire - previously published as Q and A.
I felt proud of myself lol

I just started reading Fahrenheit 451 recently. The beginning is a little slow but it starts to get good around the middle.

I just finished reading INKHEART. I haven't seen the movie and I always enjoy books that movies have been based on so I was interested. I really enjoyed and have discovered that it's actually the first of a triology. I'm looking forward to reading the other two now.

Right now I am re-reading my Joann Harris books. She wrote Chocolat, and has several others. I usually don't re-read, but there are three series that I will. The book I'm reading right now is called Five Quarters of the Orange. I really enjoy Joann Harris, its interesting to see how she manages to subtly tie in pieces of her other books.

I am reading Maximum Drive-School's Out Forever by James Patterson. This is his second of this series. His first was Maximum Drive-The Angel Experiment.
These novels are stories about a group of children who, taken from their families as infants, have been genetically altered into mutant fighting machines at the "school". However they have escaped this "school" and are trying to survive while staying clear of their enemies.
Fast and furious reading, exciting and scary all the same.

It cover ancient myths, geography, porduct, witchcraft, religion, medicine,flok-custom,etc. But it hard to understand, after all, I'm not live in BC century.
