Fourteen kids, single and jobless. What would you do?

Unfortunately I hear about this woman on a daily basis and am personally disgusted by her and her doctor. First, the doctor should be reprimanded because she obviously didn't have too much of a problem getting pregnant. Second, that doctor should have cut her services off after the first half dozen so some other woman wanting children could have them. Third, the mothers excuse for having children was one of the worst excuses I have EVER heard in my life. So what, you didn't have the greatest childhood... what kind of childhood are YOUR kids going to have?!? How much time do you think YOU can spend raising them? Fourth, the mother should be nailed for fraud because we all know it's the government who is paying to support her and her litter of children, or more over, taxes payers who were smart enough not to have a herd of children! But seriously... what kind of life can she offer these children? How does she plan on spending time with them and working to support them? Then to make matters worse, some do-gooder comes in and gives her a $1 Million dollar house! WTF!?! I live at home with my parents too you know, so where is MY house? Frankly the whole thing just makes me sick and it's women like her that give us all a bad name!

They should take that doctor's license away, he knew what he was doing and didn't even think about the babies, he's about to become as infamous as she'll be in a few weeks. Those babies need to be adopted by some loving familes, she needs her tubes tied and that doctor needs the crap slapped out of him, that's what I would do.

Yes, this is like the 40th thing on mylot I've seen about it, lol. Not that it's really a big deal.. anyway, I know of the story and I don't think she was expecting 8 kids. She's obviously aware of the fact that she already has 6 and she has no job and no real means of supporting any of these children safely and healthily. If she had her first 6 through in vitro, then that pretty well means she has a REALLY hard time having children on her own. Mind you, she's single which probably means she hasn't really tried all that hard. She's unprepared and I think to be unfit for caring for that many children.. Good thing her parents have her back, eh?

This woman has some serious mental issues. She is really after fame and fortune and has turned down an offer of free help from an organization that will provide her with 24 hour care for those 8 preemies once they're released from the hospital. She wanted the organization to agree to give weekly press conferences andd, when her request was refused, she told them to take a hike. So, she's supposesd to take 8 babies who need around the clock care home where she already has 6 other children and no one is supposed to be concerned about them? I don't particularly like CPS but, in this case, these babies need protection from an unstable mother.

I'm sorry to say but I can't imagine myself with fourteen kids. Don't get me wrong I love children, and at end of the day I love to give them to their parents,too. What going to happen when those kids get older? I know I want my child to have the best. She has 14 and they all can't have the best, but I guess thats her problem not mine.

Maybe I could raise a full of football team someday or several groups band :) For me, it is still such a miracle, but the fact is 14 children had been born and it is that single mother has got to be responsible for what she did (with the doctor). Or maybe some of them could be adopted by others who really want a child.

i would have gone crazy. i can't raise all those kids!!! it is just tooooo many to handle!

I think since she's had a child every year, I think after her first child her hormones weren't able to go back to normal before she got pregnant again, can you imagine this after 5 pregnancies prior to the octuplets? It kept on building more and more plus the 5th pregnancy were twins, so a LOT more hormones than the prior 4. But still, just picture this getting worse and worse every since day. Then pregnant with octuplets, being pregnant with 1 child is pretty hard already. And now that was 8? Plus she never gotten perfectly back to normal after her pregnancies. Her brain has malfunctioned. What happened to the doctor? Why isn't he blamed for this as much as her? He was the one with the more sanity, but now this has happened I think he was just some money hungry, unethical waste of space in the world. He should've given her great advice and not kept on getting her pregnant in that short amount of time!! My goodness!! I don't think I'll be in this situation, but if I were I wouldn't know how to answer this coz I have gone insane.

Honestly, I don't think I would have ever been stupid enough to get myself into such a situation in the first place. 'nuff said.
