Hi Anora_ It is really annoying when you see your friends request pending. I have seen it yesterday and I have 50+ pending request. I just wonder why aren't they adding me. As for discussions, I won't say you are my favorites but someone from whom I get insipirations. Sometime, we don't find a teacher favorite but admirable, dont' you think?

I'm sorry people are not adding you. I'm not sure why they wouldn't, you're a pretty funny person, witty, and honest. Teachers have an odd "favorite" style among students. They would never dare admit to their classmates you are their favorite, or among many favorites, but personally they will let you know in their own way. Yes, I've been told "You suck, you're too hard, you should get a life", yes all from students, but those comments generally come from those students who say that about all of their teachers, and generally aren't pleased with their grade. I have a sign I post, when teaching, in my classroom that reads "I don't give grades, you earn them". I believe very strongly in being as fair and objective as I can. Even on my more subjective grading I have a rubric to keep it as non-biased as possible. And I listen to my students arguments. I graded one student lower in my career because I disagreed with their argument. I don't think I conciously did it, but it did occur. The student approached and asked if I'd re-grade their paper because they felt I had simply disagreed with their argument, but that they felt it was well cited. I re-graded and they did receive a more fair grade because I was now aware that I wasn't as objective as I should have been. So, yes, it's ok that I'm not your favorite. I don't have to be anyone's favorite, that's not why I'm here, nor why I'm on earth. Namaste-Anora

Hmm, I can see a little arrogance in the last paragraph. Sorry, if I was a little offensive in my last post. When I said you were not my favorite it meant I admire you and the inspirable persons are one step above those who are in favourite list. I respect your posts and discussions.

Hmm, Since I didn't take your name that is why you didn't take specifically my name. I am a little angry on you LOL. Just kiddng. I should tell you that I started this discussion way back in February and that time I didn't have a good number of friends here at mylot. So, I couldn't choose you. If I was starting this discussion today, then I would have a long list of favorites and you will be in top 3 of them!
