Do you find yourself daydreaming constantly?

Sometimes I find myself daydreaming for several minutes and only snap out of it when someone calls my name. This seems to happen a lot even when I have a lot of obligations to fulfill and I find it a huge time waster, and yet I can't seem to stop. Does anyone have the same problem?

Well, I'm able to control it :-) It doesn't happen to me at bad times, I'm able to turn it on and off when I want. Sometimes I love just staring into space or out a window at nothing at all...

Good for you Brian. I guess it all depends on how much you really want to stop or not. It doesn't have to affect your life if you decide you don't want it.

Yeah, sometimes I also have the same problem as yours.Luckily, when it happens,I don't have to deal with a lot of affais .But the problem does bring me some troubles. In my opnion, the cause may be that we have to sit in our office, facing all kinds of files or tasks.Because when I go out of the office for the rest or have talk with my colleagues, the problem will disappear.

You're right it also disappears when I'm talking to friends. But sometimes when the conversation gets dull I slip into daydreams again.

I dream or daydream when I need to dream and do not waste my time when there is something that needs to be done. Cheers!!

I always daydream, although they only last a few seconds. I usually snap myself out of a daydream since no one else can. ._. No matter how hard they try, they can't snap me out of it. ; D I daydream whenever I listen to music and when somehow when I am supposed to be doing paperwork. ._. My daydreams are always of the future, so they do interest me. Although occasionally, I think of it was wasting time, but one the other hand, everything "wastes" time in my eyes. : D I think of daydreams as a message, possibly a reminder that you need to do something? (Apparently what you're doing isn't important enough? xD) I almost look forward to daydreams because it helps me decide what to do if I want that desired future, although at times the daydream isn't clear and I get myself in a confusing puzzle. ._.

Hi there, I used to daydream constantly, years ago when I had a bad period in my life..I even had a bunch of characters in these dreams that I had made up, and would often lay down just to think about it. I think it was an escape from the moments in my life because now that I am happily married, I have never done it again!..

I've been daydreaming ever since I was a small child. Most of it is just stories that I make up or fanfic type stuff. That hasn't gone away, even after I've grown up.
I don't really see it as a problem because it can help alleviate any kind of boredom. I used to get in trouble about it when I was in school though, but that never stopped me.
