I've been reading all this stuff about Rihanna on mylot for the last fews days and realize that lots of peoples are saying that it's ok,that she got what she deserve...WOW,what's wrong with those peoples?I do not belive any woman deserve to get beat on by any man, what ever the reason is.So apparently she give him a STD,if it was the other way around do you think he would look like her, broken nose and swollen lips?I don't think so.Man who hit woman are coward and have no self respect.I need to know what you think about that, not about that story but about a man beating up woman,i don't think i'm wrong here...what do you think?

All i can say is, ive been in that situation and no woman on this earth deserves to be beaten or treated in that way at all!..it goes to show what an angry, uncaring civilisation we have turned into...and the worse of it all is that the children of today will think its the right thing to do.

The thought of a man putting his hands on a woman sickens me. I've had a man put his hands on me before and i went off. People say that everyone needs to be put in their place, but there are nicer ways to do that. just like a woman should never put his hands on a woman, a woman shouldn't put her hands on a man. its wrong either way. So by using our words like adults.....no one should get physically hurt in the long run.

dont even get me started because there is no words that can explain what some people need to learn about abuse. this must have been totally legal in the 60s and 70s because i watched this happen to my mom on a regular bases and nothing not a thing was ever done about it.it is sad to see some people still believe this is ok .isint there a clear message that some one can get across to these people that this is not only not legal but out rite wrong why should some one else suffer for there problem.

They have never let out what the reason of the fight was, just that they seemed to have been arguing loudly. I don't believe in her giving him STDs, til that's authentic and really came from her or her publicist. So far, he just says he's asking council from his family. I don't think anyone deserves to be physically abused at all, esp women. How Chris Brown behaved with this, I think he will lose his rising star career. His commercial with wrigley's was already pulled out within 24hrs of the incident, and I don't blame them. I WAS a fan of his prior to this, but now I think he will be kind of like Kobe Bryant. A rising star and now people just dislike him. I don't think there's anything that justifies what he did and I don't think people should forget what he did. I think there are no excuses for what he did and I hope he gets what he deserves. He shouldn't get away with it. If he would get away with this, a LOT of people whoa re scums in the world who believe that beating women or doing any physical harm is fine as long as it had justifiable cause. That's quite horrific as well as disgusting. I hope Chris Brown goes to jail. He knew better, no excuses...scumbag.

I hope he goes to jail too, make him a exemple.Show the world that even when you have money and power, you still can't go around hiting woman.Thank you for your anwser and have a good day.

Yeah, for sure. He should be an example for all of that and there should be no excuse that he can just slide on what he did! Did you see her face? My gosh!!

LOL! But, it's okay for women to beat up men thats self defence. But seriously why???? What is wrong with us loving each other like civilized human beings? I'm against it but when a woman goes to a police station and says that she got beat up by a man she would get sympathy however if a woman beat up a man well then he would look stupid. Share your opinion. Kind Regards. Happy MyLotting.

I don't think violence is a anwser for anything!!Normaly if a man get's beat up by a woman it's because he most likely slap the woman around a bit and didn't expect for her to defend herself..I don't think it's ok and your right sometime woman are just complaining for no reason or making thing up for attention, but i'm not talking about those woman,i'm talking about the ones that really get beat down everyday or man for that matter!!

Absolutely no reason to hit a woman ever! And Chris Brown knows this, his own mother was abused according to some of the reports out there. It is sickening to think how many men are going to think hey look so and so is in the news and it was alright for him to beat up his girl... You may see a rise in domestic violence after this.

Most likely, some 19-20 years old will see this and think;well it's no big deal..especialy if Chris Brown doesn't go to jail.

I'm a man. But honestly I hate men who beat or physically abused women in general. Even in my mind I never think of hurting anyone physically. I do realized that there are some men who are abusive and release their anger by hurting others in a physical way. Maybe their mind is sick.

Maybe your right about their mind being sick, but i wish man like that(with no brain) would think before they act and walk aways.thank you for your anwser and for being a decent man with some common sense and respect for other.Have a good day.

I don't think that it is okay for either a man or a woman to be beaten or abused by their partner. To me, this is not love at all, it is an insecure person seeking to gain control of something in life. Rather than try to control theirself, they think that it makes them look big to control someone else. That is my opinion anyway.

I do not think it is okay for any man to hit or beat on a woman, for any reason. There is no excuse or reason anyone can give me to say it is right or justify it. I do not think it is right for a woman to beat on a man either. These are people who need some serious help, and i mean serious help. It does not make them a better or bigger person to beat on someone.

i can't accept that a man beat up woman ,no matter what reason!if fight could solove problems, people will always choose fight.as your said.man who hit woman are coward and have no self respect.i agree with your poin.sometimes ,beating will become a habit if man do one time.it will hurt relation easily
• Canada
28 Feb 09
You can't even call that a "relation"at this point...if a man abuse a woman,he lost respect for her,him and the relationship.Thank you for your anwser and have a good day.

i think its a bit brainless if a man hits a woman.here he only trys to show he is a macho man just by hitting her thats not gonna work he does not even know when he is just hitting her he is loosing her love as well as the respect for him in her eyes and his image is down even in others eyes. he just cant behave as if he has bought her paying her family.he should know where he stands and what he is doing
• Canada
28 Feb 09
It's one stupid way to act,i would have no respect for him at this point.Thank you.

Isabella123 Nope its never ok,I dont care who you are, being that I stayed in a marriage way too long that was very abusive mentally and emotionally and then got very physically before I said ok enough it aint worth me staying what would I be showing my kids If I continued to stay most stay for their kids they say, for me no I needed to not stay for them and myself it's never worth it. I learned so much from that experience I now speak to other women and teenager on domestic vioelence to share my story. A man who does this is not a man.

No one deserves to be beaten, no matter who they are. Beating is a barbaric practice that has been shunned in most parts of the civilized world for many years. Anyone who condones it now may deserve a beating of their own just so that they can find out what it is they are condoning. Men who hit women are as contemptuous as adults who beat children, using superior size and strength to "put them in their place". There are far better ways of dealing with problems. I can't say that Rihanna was right in what she did, because it showed little respect for him, but beating her up didn't change what had happened.

There is something wrong when society starts say that it is OK to beat up a woman for any reason. There are too many women getting beat up every day. I don't know the story about this Rihanna but even if she did give him an STD it still isn't a good reason for beating her up. Real men don't beat women up.

It isn't okay at all to beat anybody specially women; I don't like Chris Brown now because of that. You're totally right, whatever the reason is, he shouldn't beat Rihanna, that's totally uncalled for. But, guess what, I heard and I read through all these sites that they are back together. Geez, I can't believe it. If I were Rihanna, I wouldn't give him another chance but what could we do, it's her own decision and her very own life; I just hope that Chris Brown wouldn't do that to her again.

What I think is that it works both ways.. men should not hit women and women should not hit men.. If equality is what is demanded among everyone then it should be for all levels. Hard to do so but it is supposed to be that way.

Of course it is crazy to say she deserved it. no one deserves to be hit. men who hit women are cowards. anyone who uses violence is weak.
