THIS YEAR IS JUST THE START... lets bear in mind that it will definetely come for a long time, but we have a lot of things that we can do about it. we have to work hard, be responsible enough in everything and most of all PRAY.. You will see this recession thing will just be hang around if we will do these things. we will not feel it though...

Most likely, it will get a lot worse before it gets better. In a year or so, things will be better, but we will have changed in a number of ways, as fear of repetition will change many people's patterns of spending, saving and investing. I hope we'll learn to be a lot more careful so we won't be in such a mess again...

Sooner the better is what I want for this recession. However, I think I've heard that it might not end until sometime next year. I don't know how true this is. We'l just have to wait and see.

I've heard on the news people saying it may well last into 2010. Frankly, I think this is optimistic. This is the worst recession in decades. Technically, it may be classed as having ended after a couple of years, but we will probably see the fallout for at least a decade.
