Have you ever tried writing a book?

I tried to write a book when I was in high school. I actually got a few chapters typed out, but I sorta lost interest, or something. There were times when I knew what I wanted to write, but I couldn't seem to get the words to flow through my arms, to my fingers, and out onto the computer. It was no fun at times.

I have never tried it before 'cause I really think that it's a whole lot of work and stress. But, I've written a couple of short stories and poems years ago. I don't consider myself as a writer per se but I could say that I could write during a sudden burst of emotion which I know is essential for the piece to be really good. I wish I could write more but I find it hard now that I have different sets of priorities and I just don't have the time. I do love reading books though.

The only writing I've done is the writing of reviews and fanfictions. There isn't really that much, but it's what I've done.

That's cool too. If you're into writing reviews, maybe you should trying joining Ciao or Helium; it'll give you a bit of extra income, too. Good luck

Do you know about NaNoWriMo (national novel writing month)? It happens every November and thousands of people try to write a complete novel in one month. I have tried to do this now for two years in a row, and failed completely. I guess the pressure of trying to write an entire novel in one month just overwhelms me every time. Still, thousands of people across the country manage to do it. I just don't know how?

I never head about that contest. I don't think I could ever do it. There's just no time for me to write much. Besides, I'm not sure how well my writing would be if I did have the time.

I've written...boy, lets see...a little more than nine books in the past three years. I have another nine plus in my notebooks, waiting to be written, not counting the series and novel I'm working on right now. ...I write alot, heh. Stories just sortof pop out of my subconscious. They all go to my notebooks and wait until I get to them. Well, most of them wait, but some of them hound me until I write them, making me get to them almost immediately. Even when I had planned to work on something else instead. When I get into inspiration overdrive, I tend to get more ideas than I know what to do with. It's very fun, for me. It's therapy, it's better than breathing at times -- for me.

Actually I have. It's called Kickshaw Candies. Unfortunately it isn't published yet. I really need to work on editing but right now I'm kind of having a writer block period. I was also working on a second novel that is too suffering from my blockage.

I start writing a story, then after a few weeks i lose interest. I mean i want to write, but thinking of the words occurs so much faster than writing them down on paper. I know one day, when i'm out of school and have a little more time on my hand and experience in my life, I will think of the perfect story and be able to write it.

Well I have never even thought of writing a book. What a nightmare !! I hate writing books as much as I love to read books. Man I just can't imagine the plight of those who write biographies, auto-biographies, novels and whatever. Man it's damn boring. Once had the thought of writing a book but I got it wiped out of my mind as soon as possible. Cheers and luck !!
