making friends

Hi amanda! Isn't this the best place ever? You can always find someone to cheer you up! I have made some wonderful friends here too! It is so amazing that I now have friends all over the world, but they feel like they live right in my own backyard! I sometimes forget how really far away they live! It doesn't matter either which is the best part because we all do have very similar problems and we all like to have a good time and laugh as much as we can! I am so happy that I found mylot!

Hi ya amanda333 I think myLot started about 3 years ago! I am very lucky that I have only had good experiences on here myself and when I read in people's discussions that someone has done this, that and the other I am surprised as I have not had any problems at all. I think the worst that has happened to me is someone calling me an idiot in my discussion which did annoy me at the time but I didn't retaliate as it is their opinion at the end of the day and I once had someone copy a discussion of mine word for word, but that's it, thankfully! On the whole I have found myLot members to be friendly, knowledgeable, kind and humorous and that's what keeps me on here!

When I went through a very very bad time with my ex a few years back, I got so much support, advice and love that I was overwhelmed with warmth and friendship that I managed to get through it, for that alone I am so thankful to this site. I have made some wonderful friends here on Mylot and even adopted a few sisters along the way. I joined in May 2006, but I know the site has been going for some time previous, I think there is way to check when it started out, you have me curious too now. Like any site you do get the problems and some people who are less than friendly, but that is true in life too, so enjoy, it's a great place to be, you won't earn much, but you will get friendship and friendship in this world is priceless.

I have been here almost two years..I don't know when or how it started but it's a wonderful site where I have met so many great friends...I have even gotten to meet a few in person! It is amazing that so many people from all around the world share this site and help each other out! What a wonderful bonus to everyday to be able to come here and share!

Hi Amanda, the people on here are amazing. I have been hear over a year but I am not too sure how long it has been going, all I know is that even if I haven't posted anything for a while like you say when I do and I need help on a subject all my friends rally round and support which is fantastic. It really does feel like belonging to a large family at times. People also nderstand that we have lives away from theLot and don't get upset if you don't respond all the time. I think myLot is great and yes it bings people from all over the world together in such a wonderful way. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Amanda, I haven't been Myloting that long either. Been a member for 3 weeks, but first started actual myloting a little over a week ago. I have made some wonderful friends. You are so right, about how kind they are. It is like I have known some of them for a long time. We all have so much in common. Hi Amanda, You are absolutely right about the people here at Mylot. It seems to draw in the best kinds of people. I don't even remember how I stumbled onto Mylot, but it has been a lifeline for me. As you may notice, a lot of us have a disability that keeps us from working any longer. So to have this kind of forum to come to each day, even for an hour or so, makes all the difference in the world. I cherish all the friends I have made here at Mylot. I really do enjoy mylot because I love posting, and the lovely people and friends that I have made just make me want to stay! It's not like other forum sites were many things can get nasty with lots of arguments. Mylot is a nice place to discuss things.

I've only been here for about 3 weeks, but it is good to know that if you have a problem, people are very helpful. Plus you are right; we may be in different parts of the world, but we all have similar difficulties.

this is one good thing in mylot..we gain lots of friends that despite of our differences still we meet new friends..people whom we share are daily encounters and find ourselves happy knowing that we are able to communicate and help each other in times of problems and be present in times of laughs..^^

Dont expect anything in friends and accept for what they are.
