I am sorry you are facing this. I can relate to this more than ever now. I am still fixing my computer. I have installed Avast Home Edition as well. And Venkat, I had asked my friend and he has to say the following: Simply put try this 1) Launch services.msc from a run command 2) Find the SLUNotify service & stop it 3) Find the Software Licensing service & stop it (it may say that ReadyBoost needs that service to run; stop it anyway) 4) Restart both services, starting with Software Licensing That's all. No reboot needed. Please try this and let me know. I am sure it will work ok. And thank my friend. BTW, I was not doing much AC also, was just busy with life.

I hadn't come across this problem but apparently others have. This page appears to offer several solutions: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/index.cfm?action=showthread&threadid=295889&forumid=20 1) Try a System Restore to a point before it started happening 2) Try WinASO Registry Optimizer (the trial version will fix only 10 problems but this MAY work) 3) Use 'services.msc' (see sevencoya's post on the above page) to manage Software Licensing (I have to confess that I don't know what this does exactly).

The trial version of WinASO will fix 10 problems at a time. It is possible to fix all the problems it finds but you have to run it repeatedly (I would have to run it 88 times, in my case, since it found 880 errors.) Most of the errors it found on mine were quite minor - registry entries to non-existent or deleted programs and files - and fixing them would probably not affect speed a great deal. It looks to be a useful and safe tool, though.

Hi saivenkaat dear! I haven't seen this discussion before, I guess the email notification failed me this time. Sorry! I remember that we encountered this problem before but I am not really sure. I have to ask hubby about this and when he calls today, I will tell him about your problem and will ask for his advice. As I told you in my email awhile ago, he won't be back until this weekend. So, I will just wait for his call and will be tell what he says about this. Take care and blessings to you always! lovelots..faith
