Is it to late for me to renew my interest in the violin?

This is a question that has been on my mind. I am an adult with a desire to re learn playing the violin. My age I will not give because I feel that should not matter. I will tell you I played violin as a child in middle school and high school. I can read music and the desire is in my heart. After watching the movie "Music of the heart" I was inspired and ordered a violin. My friends think I am going nuts while others feel it is a great source of therapy for me. I am a very determined person and will let nothing get in the way of my learning. By the way, I also have parkinson's disease. I am open for discussion and will let you know of my progress...
