Just wondering why they don't. Ryan Seacrest seems to frequently announce the total number of votes received, and occasionally the difference between two contestants, but I think it would be interesting for the audience as well as the contestants to see the actual results. Or at least a ranking from highest to lowest. Or do you think this added information would change the way you would vote?

This has been a pet peeve of mine for years, but the other side is then things you cannot see happen would not take place. Would Daughtry have finished behind Elliot Yamin if people knew he was getting less votes in the weeks before, would people keep watching if David Archultta and David Cook we getting 70% of all votes cast. I have no proof of anything I am saying just speculation from discussions with others. If you go to wikipedia for Carrie Underwood it says she was very far ahead in the voting early on from an unamed source. This does shed some light on why Simon said to her "You will sell more records then any other idol"

I haven't really notice it until you've mentioned it today. Well I think it will be interesting to know the percentage of votes but maybe they think it is pretty early to do that. perhaps when the time that the Top 12 is complete then Ryan will announce the difference from then on.
