I have read from a news article that windows vista was released? are you going to move to it or stay with your current version of windows? I myself would prefer staying with xp for a while, its just released and i think its still a little bit buggy.

I read that Office 2007 has gone gold and should be released in January, but Vista has not hit gold status yet. Vista was suppose to gome out mid-January but I have read on many techie sites that they aren't expecting it until early March. I am staying with XP. I have seen the interface and what Vista claims to be able to do and I am not interested. Plus, it is not good to upgrade until the product has been out for at least 6 months. Microsoft is notorious for not fully testing their products.

Windows Vista has not been officially released yet, it is currently scheduled for January and may well be delayed further. Release Candidate 2, which is a pre release version to test it's effectiveness has been released and I am currently using it.
It is an excellent operating system but does still have a lot of issues that need to be dealt with so your decision would be the right one in my opinion.
