Famous for "The Rest of the Story" segments has passed away. His listening audience was estimated at 22 million people a week. Harvey liked to say he was raised in radio newsrooms. A part of radio has been silenced and will be missed.

That is awful..it is the end of an era. I hope they replay some of the best of Paul Harvey on some radio shows... Doesn't look like there are any podcasts. My husband is in nursing school and he did a presentation using a Paul Harvey format. The instructor had never heard of him ---such a loss to young people.

I definitely enjoyed listening to his broadcasts. They were very informational. Sometimes, I couldn't figure out if what he was saying was truth or fiction. Regardless, they were good programs.

I really loved the book he wrote called "The Rest of The Story". It has all this stuff in it that you really do know but he writes it in such a way that when you get to the end you think 'oh yeah!' Indeed too bad that a lot of younger people don't know about him. Used to listen to his broadcasts on the AFN radio eons ago. Last couple of years I tried to look in once in a while on his website and he was still as good as ever. Personally I think broadcasters today could really do better and maybe a little more Paul Harvey presenting style would be a good thing!

I know he's been ill for a couple of years now. He will definitely be missed. Except for his neo-conservative attitudes, I enjoyed his program almost his entire career.

He is a legend that will be sadly missed. I listened to him every morning on the radio as I got the kids ready for school. The kids used to think he was funny. They actually looked forward to hearing him of the morning. When they got older they said anytime they heard him on the radio they felt like they needed to hurry up and get ready for school!
