How did you feed your newborn? Formula? Nursing?

I tried to nurse my daughter, but being a new mother, I got frustrated easily when I couldn't get my daughter wouldn't latch on. So I ended up putting her on Similac. After my son was born, I was able to nurse him for about 5 months with a mixture of Similac. I had to stop nursing him when I went back to work, then he was in Similac entirely.

I fed both of my kids by nursing them when they were babies. It wasn't always easy, and sometimes downright painful at times, but I took it one day at a time and was able to do it with success for longer than I had planned on.

I wasn't able to nurse any of my 4 children. I tried with my first two and after it didn't work with either of them, I told the nurses to feed the other two at night so I could stay asleep and get stronger while in the hospital. Some people frown upon this but my children are very healthy and happy. It didn't do any harm to them by putting them on the bottle and not nursing.
