When you drink soft drinks, which do you prefer to use?

Some people are comfortable drinking their soft drinks right in the bottle, what I mean is just sip the drink right in the bottle, others use straw and most use glass. which do you prefer? For me, I usually use straw when I am in the restaurant or fast food. I have seen others that they just drink right from the bottle... well, not bad.. but not good either!! what about you?

If it is a can or a 20 ounce bottle, I will drink right from the bottle, if I am at home and it's a 2 liter bottle, I get a glass. I never understood why they were called soft drinks though. :D

if i can i always prefer to have my pop in a glass with lots of ice. i find it tastes a lot better when its cold with lots of ice, plus i like to chew on the leftover ice when im done the drink LOL
but if i can't have it in a glass with ice then i'll just drink it out of the can or bottle

It depends on what kind of container I'm getting the drink from. If I'm getting a 20 oz of pop or water, I'll drink it right from the bottle. If it's a 2 liter bottle of pop, I drink it from a glass with ice. When I'm out to eat, I'll drink from a cup with a straw.

I normally use straw or glass. In the Philippines, we are not so sure on how hygeinic the bottles or caps are. They probably passed the quality control of the corporation, but how sure are we that the retail store or the restaurant sanitizes the bottles prior to serving.
It is safer to use a glass with ice.

Well, I understand that because I also come from the Philippines but how sure we are also that the glass we are using int he restaurant are clean? Many people are using it and maybe the restaurant owners did not sterilize the glasses? for me, it is safe to use straw in the restaurant that glasses.

Actually my friend, I don't drink soft drinks! But with other beverages, I usually pour the contents in glass before sipping. I am not comfortable with taking it straight from the bottle.

Hello Bebs08! I do the same way you did. If I am at home, I would probably not use traw but when I ate outside or public places like restaurant, I use straw. It's a public restaurant and everyone are open to eat there and every plates or glasses are used by the costumers. It's better to be safe.

I drink from the bottle if I'm the only one drinking from it, but at a restaurant I will use a straw everytime.

I usually do w/ the straw when in public places like restaurants but I personally prefer to have the glass if I could. Sometimes I see the straws are being held by the tenders w/ their hands on the edge where customers sip.

Like you, if I am at a restaurant, I will drink out of a straw. If I am at hiome, however; I prefer to drink out of a can. I don't use a glass for my soft drink when I am at home unless I do not have cans of the drink. In that case, i will pour my soft drink in a glass from a 2 liter bottle.

I prefer drinking my sodas with a staw for no other special reason other than I love my straws. okay I know that probably sounds weird but there's just something about straws that somehow makes my drinks more enjoyable. I would choose straws over glass any given day.

For me it depends, mostly on the size of the soda bottle.
If it is a smaller bottle I like to drink from it, however if it is larger than a 1 liter, I like to use a glass and straw. I like to use straws because the bubbles go up my nose when I use a cup.

I like do have soft drink direct from bottle becuase in that way we can drink freely. In other way I dont like to use straw becuase it takes much time to down our thrist level while having soft drink with a straw. I think it is a childish thing. I like cocacola in soft drinks.

While eating out, I always use a straw in my drinks. Don't know if it's because i think the glass isn't clean or because my teeth hurt from really cold drinks, and the straw keeps the drink from hitting my front teeth for the most part. At home, I drink it from a can, but it's always semi hot/cold. I just wipe the can off, pop it open and go.

Drinking out of the bottle isn't bad! Is it..? At restaurants, I can understand how this might be seen as rude..But honestly, on your own time, or while doing something else that requires your attention - drinking out of the bottle is fine & easier. So I guess I'd have to say I'm "comfortable" with it. :P

I dont mind either way, I would take a straw if all possible, I usually keep straws in my car or sometimes if I drinking from a bottle and have access to straw I definitely use one.

if its canned, i just drink right there, but if im inside a car, i will need to use a straw. if im in a restaurant or at home, i like drinking from glass. =)
