I'm not into religion , but i know that God does exist . All I have to do is see a beautiful sunset or a sunrise over the ocean . I see God in all the beauty in
nature .. I see God in a newborn baby, and I see Gods reflection in the eyes of
people every day . As far as what religions claim , they claim alot of things .
Instead of listening to religions I rather listen to nature , that's where I find God .

search within yourself. sit quietly and meditate on it. God is in all of us. He is the serenity at the core.
There are many religions just as there are many cultures. In almost all organized religions the over all message is the same, only the details of the worship are different.
Now, since God is Omniscient, perhaps there are different religions because if it were all the same religion every sunday with the same ceremonies all around the world, perhaps God would get bored, and then He wouldn't want to go to church either.

I like the idea of God getting bored in church if he had to attend the same ceremonies! Your thoughts are much like mine. God is in each of us. He is whatever we make of him.

Does God exist?? Does it really matter? I mean think about it, if you go through your life BELIEVING that he does and you live a positive, peaceful existence and then when you are at the end of your life you find out he DOESNT exist....would it really matter? you lived your life right just by believing...thats what counts IMO...and that applies to any religious or spiritual path as far as I'm concerned....

The god or gods may or may not exist. The one thing that you can be sure of is that anyone who tells you that they know the true nature of god is wrong. Anyone who claims that their god is the one true god doesn't know what they are talking about.
The ones to be afraid of are the fanatics who claim that their god is the one true god and they know what their god wants them to do. They start to act in the name of their god and people get hurt.

That is a really good question and I don't think that anyone really knows the answer.
Every religion has different gods and different followers and every one claims that their is "the real god".
But ultimatley I think that it is just what you wish to personally believe. None can be proven 100% correct.

Before that question can be answered properly, you would need to define what is meant by "god". And therein lies the problem.
If we define "god" as creative natural energy that doesn't have human characteristics, then yes ("god" really exists).
However, if "god" is defined as a deity that is intelligent and has human form, then "god" doesn't exist in the true sense of existence, because there hasn't been any human being who can say, "Guess who I saw yesterday? You're not going to believe this ... but I saw "god".
I wonder if anyone has ever invited "god" to dine with them for breakfast, dinner, or supper? With so many believers I'm sure you'll get a full description of what "god" looks like (as proof that "god" exists in the true sense of the word).

If you believe in God, you shouldn't ask that question. According to a priest in a homily when I attended to a mass last Three Kings after New Year, he talks about how come King Herod didn't found the baby Jesus since he has all his resources like his army and spies. He actually knows where exactly that the baby born while the three Wise Men didn't know anything and doesn't have any resources but followed only the star. The priest said, it is because that King Herod doesn't believe in god that's why he didn't found baby Jesus but the three Wise Men believes in God and so they found the right baby. On the bible story King Herod commanded his men to kill all the new born baby boys that they may found but he wasn't successful in finding Jesus with all his power, all his spies, researchers, and army compared to the three Wise Men. The priest said that it is all because of faith in God. IF we people has the saying, "To see is To Believe". for God, it is "To Believe is To See". The priest said the the three Wise Men believes in God and so they found him.

i don't wait for god to help me every time. I don't think god will help us in every thing we do.
I do my level best and the rest depends on my luck so for that i trust god to help me.

After many years of asking these questions, the little child that was growing up in our home, our child, one day piped up and told me that if you are wondering if God exists, just ask Him if He does? Just say God do you exist and if so can you show me and help me to know if you do? I do not know what the answer will be. Won't it be fun to find out!

I believe there is a certain power. It is certain. We name that power as God. If there is no power, there will not be any substance or any universe. The universe is a proof that God exists. It is that simple

The fact that the particular universe that the physical manifestation that is you at this moment proves only that one universe exists for you. In the next nanosecond you wii\ll exist in a changed universe that is different in significant ways.
The existence of this momentary universe proves only that it exists for you at the moment. It proves nothing about God.
Nothing is simple.

If it exists for me than the God also exists for me. Life is not like truman show. I believe in recent future collective consciousness will develop and all of your words will be rubbish.

hello siddhartgrace. faith is something that does not question too much...it's a matter of belief and trust. i think there is no reason in thinking that there is no God, no higher being responsible in this vast world full of mystery and wonder. i just don't understand how can some people choose not to believe in god because they seek explanations in everything. God's presence can be felt every minute of every day. Just observe and open your eyes and heart.

When you doubt God's existence, it's just similar to questioning the presence of oxygen in the air. I don't to exaggerate my point to be emphatic but with the wonderful creations around us, no doubt that a Divine Existence is truly responsible for them. Each person has his own belief and faith in the divinity, I know my God exists, He is loving me unconditionally, and He is always with me ALL the time. Welcome to mylot and happy posting!

God does exist and he is invisible to naked eye, unless experienced in spirit (through meditation) in honest search of him. One has to posess great faith to agree and experience his divine presence; as you would agree on existence of invisible waves around us to serve connectivity to Mobile phones, Television etc?
He is the only one, creator of all that exists & non-existent to naked eye.
Human beings who has /had experienced God have gone to great extents to seek /experience his divine presence. Also God didn't make religion(s), it is man-made; and the goal of every human being is to reach Heaven (in the divine presence of God, irrespective of religion).
