Yes you are actually right potatoes do create many problems, though your problems are new to me but i have noticed that potatoes creat certain liquids when fried which make intake a lot of fats if they boiled they are not that harmfull but if fried they are going to add more calories to your diet for sure.

I would like to know where you got your information. Every thing I have read shows that potatoes are good for you as long s you don't deep fry or load them up with all the extras we like to put on baked potatoes.
They are one of the richest sources of potassium and magnesium.
The Phytochemicals in potatoes Rival those in Broccoli.
They have Blood-Pressure Lowering Potential.
They have Vitamin B6 for Building Your Cells, Brain Cell and Nervous System Activity, Cardiovascular Protection,Athletic Performance.
Potatoes are a very good source of vitamin C. They are also a good source of vitamin B6, copper, potassium, manganese, and dietary fiber.

I read somewhere potatoes, as long as not eaten too much, can actually be beneficial to your health. Because there are some nutrients in it that cannot be found in other food sources. I forgot what the nutrients are called, but you can research on yahoo. Hope that helps... I love the taste of potatoes too much to give it up anyway. even if it didn't contain anything good, i probably still won't give up eating it!
