I understand how you feel. I am however, not yet burned out since I feel that I still have a long way to go to achieve my goals in WoW. Though I already have 2 lvl 80s and both are already premium characters, I still feel I need more gold and more achievements.

I don't have that many high level characters but even I get bored with it
I do a lot of raiding and pvp I tried them all plus the achievements and somehow I just don't feel like playing anymore
and I haven't played as long as you have LOL I can't imagine playing that long and not get burned out plus there are a lot of things I have to do to keep the house and make money so this game won't be a priority as it was when I was new at it

I find it's best to take extended breaks from the game. I'll usually play for a few months, then quit for a few months. I used to give away my accounts. Now I just take time off and do other things. Don't let yourself get burned out.
Rerolling for a while on a different server can be nice as well.

Sure it can be addicting if you let it be, but you can always just play it when you feel like it, dont let it take over your life, if yout hink you would be doing something else besides playing wow.. why dont know you do it... and dont cancel other plans just to do a raid or something, its just a game if you replace wow with watching television the whole day, is there really a difference? just play it as you please to me the fee is not that much, right now im not playing for 6 months or so .. I dont play when the weather is so nice outside just when im stuck inside sometiems doing nothing :)
