Lalit Modi's reign as president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association came to an end on Sunday after he lost an acrimonious election to Sanjay Dixit by five votes, marking the takeover of a new regime at the faction-ridden cricket body. Modi, who is also a vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the brain behind the highly successful Indian Premier League, lost the election 13-18 to Dixit, who is an IAS officer and is known to have the backing of the state government.I am thinking does this will effect in IPL, that, he has to face many problem from Sanjay Dixit....What do you think??

Ya it may effect IPL but I cannot determine how much or in what directions it may create problems.. But thats sure that Lalit Modi's image has now become blurred and an IAS officers arrival in IPL may help to regain RCA its lost image..

No doubt the IPL was a success, but Lalit Modi was not the man behind that success. Lalit Modi not a team man. There is no doubt in the fact that his organisational power is great, but IPL has become a such a mega event that it will be able to get a man more quintessential than Modi. However, Modi has not been removed from the seat of IPL. He is still there.

I think my friend that it was on the cards because he was trying to misuse his power which was given to him. He was to adamant about his decisions and he was going to much against the Rajasthan team which started dreading a lot of problems. I always feel that if someone is misusing his power then the person is not genuine. And it was very clear that he was doing the same. Why should you abandon one place where cricket is so famous. After all this is a game played with such a huge support from the common people in India. So why do you want one section of the people being deprived of this fun. And moreover even the players of the team were never comfortable with that factor and I guess the end result tells you that it is always the side of the truth which will win over. And that is what happened in the end and I'm very happy about it. If this kind of injustice was done then it would be very disheartening for both cricket in India and to the cricket fans in Rajasthan. Specially after their team winning the tournament last year they must be more interested and thrilled about this competition and so would be the status of the players of that team.
