um they have been broken up for about what...2...3 years now. why do you think they are doing all solo albums now.
look them up one is now with scars on Broadway and serj is going solo

They have been on hiatus since 2006 while members of the band worked on separate projects. They will probably not get back together, so this is not new. You just heard about this now? It's been 3 years.
