It's hard to help people sometimes!

I am a social worker. I work with all kinds of people. Most often I deal with people that are having some kind of difficulty: like a drug problem, a violent relationship, a mental health issue, poverty, or some combonation of those problems. Most times people except some help, especially if the help is a form of money. But to me it is a little frustrating when someone won't take your help. It is sort of an art form to deal with certain people. It's sort of like a game, which can get annoying. Has anyone else experienced something like that?

When it came to my disabled daughter I snapped up whatever help was available to her. I still do because I know the road is going to be harder and longer for her.
Over the years I've dealt with social workers concerning her and for the most part they genuinely care for their clients. I can only think of one that I had issues with. The woman tested my daughter at the wrong age level and when she found it out she just shrugged her shoulders but refused to retest her even though there was a two year difference.
