What you will do, scold or comfort?

Yesterday my husband,friend and I cycled toghter to enjoy beautiful flower. I didn't wear helmet,kneepad,because it is very near. But unfortunately I fell from my bike. Both my hand and knees were bleeding, and I felt a sharp pain. After checking my wound, my husband began to scold me. He said I could have avoid the accident if I had braked. Besides, if I wore equipment, I wouldn't get hurt. After that he didn't say a word to me. I felt very sad. Then my friend told me her experience .Once she hurt her finger when she cooked. Her mother also scolded her. I am confused. Is it a way to express love? If your loved gets hurt, what you will do , scold or comfort?
