Words cannot grasp how happy and thrilled I when I listened to my daughter's first ever song!!! It was entitled "when I Feel So Sad" and it sounded like a mixture of R&B (her #1 influence is ne-yo) and Pop combined into one.It sounded like a love song but she claims that it was a song she wrote for me.
I remember starting composing songs when I was in high school. I was really surprised that she just created one at an early age. I hope I can help her hone her talents even more...
Let's hope for the best...

Hi balasri,
Thank you for the motivation. Just today i took home the guitar I brought for her because their final exams were over! As she promised, she ended up in Top 5 among the awardees. Their school adviser said there are also surprise awards for her during the Recognition day this Friday. So as i promised her... she will have to hold her long time dream... her own guitar!

That is good that your child is showing some talent at such a young age.
She may even be emulating you when you compose your songs during your daily routine.
I cannot start to imagine how thrilling it would be. But I am sure you are very very happy now. Got a camcorder? Record it down and keep it as a momento!

Thank you so much ahgong. You never knew how delighted I am with this response. I guess when I was still conceiving, I was also composing songs, writing novels and making poems at that time. I already bought her a guitar coz that is her wish ever since she was 4 years old. I told her if she ended Grade 3 with honors, I will buy her a guitar. Well, she has an honor! So hello guitar!!! And yes, I have a digicam and it works as a video recorder also. Thank you for this bright idea!

That's so great to know! Kids can surprise us with their innocent, uninhibited thoughts! I wish her all the best in days to come.

Hi skyblue,
Thank you for your encouragement. I think that is what parents are for - always providing support to their kids and their interests to mould them to be a better and well-rounded individuals when they grow up.
Thank you!!!
