My dream vacation - A Disney Land & Sea trip!

Hi everyone :) For quite a long time now I've been wanting to take a Disney Vacation! Ihave been researching the different options: Disneyland, Disney World, Disney Cruise, Land & Sea combo, etc. I think I have found my dream vacation! I want to take my husband and 2yr old son on the Land & Sea vacation which is 3 nights at the Animal Knigdom Lodge and 4 nights on the Disney Wonder ship! I have even priced it out! For the 3 of us it would be USD$3700 + airfare. That would include 3 nights at the animal knigdom lodge, our park tickets, transportation from the airport to the hotel, then transport from hotel to port canaveral for the cruise, 4 nights in a deluxe stateroom with verandah, all meals and drinks (non-alcoholic) on the cruise, most of the "normal" activities on the ship too, and then transportation back to the airport after the cruise! It sounds like SOOOOO much fun and I know we'd love it! So now all I have to do is come up with the money for it. I've been making and selling cloth diapers and knit childrens clothes online, and I also do photography sometimes, so I'm going to start advertising for photography some more as I think that will being in the most for my efforts. I'd also love for my mom and brother to be able to come too, their trip would be a little less, about USD$3400 + airfare. But they don't have extra $$ either, so I'm hoping that maybe I can come up with enough to cover it all and just surprise them! (and I bet they'd even pay me back eventually, but I'd insist on only half back because I'd like this to be like a gift for them if possible. I'm hoping to be able to go in September some time, before it gets too cold down there. But we will see, depending on how fast I can raise the money, we might have to hold off a bit and go next spring instead :( So yeah, thats my plan! Does anyone have any advice for the trip? Things to do/see, any tips on how to save $$ during the trip, or advice on how to raise the money faster? Anyone been on this particular land and sea vacation that would like to share their experience? This will be a first for us (first cruise, first disneyworld trip and everything) and we'd love to hear your experiences! Thanks everyone.

That sounds like it will be a fantastic trip. I hope that your saving up for it will go as planned. I take my 21 month old son traveling with me. We went to Cape Town and the Garden Route in January. We went on a two and a half hour safari. Good luck with arranging your excellent trip to the Animal Kingdom and the Disney Ship.

How was your little on on the safari? I worry that my 2yr old might get tired and cranky, but he loves mickey, so I think he'd be entertained enough to keep happy most of the time, lol.
