If tomorrows paper read that the recession was over and the economy had fully recovered what would you do? Would you go out and celebrate or buy a new car? Exactly what effect does the news media have on the decisions we make? For instance I can honestly say that on the whole we are not in worse shape now than we were four years ago. Yes we pay more for groceries and shortly we will be paying a lot for the pleasure of smoking, but when it comes to our bills we still pay them the same now as we did a year ago. In fact if I do not listen to the news I am fairly hopeful that things are actually turning around for our family, I am making money online and opportunities are coming in from diverse places. Then I watch the nightly news and get depressed! What do you think? Are you in a lot worse place financially now than over the last few years?

The recession never started, people just need to not borrow money to get what they want and do with what they need. We are in great financial shape, God has blessed us with the hope of being debt free, and that means all debt paid off so we can give our children what our parents couldn't give us, financial freedom.

That is how I feel most days, maybe that is in part because we have been living paycheck to paycheck for our entire lives. Hopefully it will get better soon.
