If you were trapped on a deserted island, and could only bring ONE book with you, which would you choose?

Definitely The Bible. It's basically a survival guide for your life, and will help keep you close to God; especially when you realize you can't get off the island, you can't drink the water, and there's not a single thing to eat.
Of course, if were talking about a really big island, that does have a plentiful supply of food and water, there is still tons of different things in The Bible to keep you interested for a long time; many people read several chapters of it every day for their entire lives and never get bored of it.

Interesting question, micpie94. I guess the survivor in me would want something like a book on island vegetation and animal life. Hmmm, but I guess I might choose the bible, which to me has a little of everything and would be enough to keep me interested while rereading. It has poetry and prose, history and stories of hope, and passages that would remind me of music I've known through the years. Yes, it seems like the best choice for me.

The Bible. Maybe I would finally get it read all the way through!
I enjoy all the different parts and it seems that every time I read it, I get a different something out of it. It has stories, predictions, songs, wise ideas, some not so wise people and history. I know that some would debate this but I read fast enough now that I would need variety. I can't think of another book with this much variety.
