recover lost file during formating

guys/gals, can you please help me on how to recover my files from the newly formated hard disk. my officemate formated our office harddisk and not informing us if we already save our files/documents. are there ways in which i can recover it? many thanks...

Generally when a file is deleted from a hard drive, with the right software, it can be recovered easly. However it becomes much more difficult after a reformat. I will point you to a web site that says it is possible to recover with the software they have but I have only had a brief look a that page so am not claiming it will work. At the very least it will answer your questions about what can be done. Again I am not familiar with this site or software so be very careful that you read everything. I also don't know if there is a cost for the software so you will have to check that out. At least there is a lot of good information there. Good luck.

just finish reading there articles... i think i will give it a try, but the one im downloading is just a demo one. i still need to buy there software. i dont know if i can recover it by using demo software. tnx anyway for the help

There's a software that can do this for you, but only if you use it right after the formatting - if you used your file system after the reformat then you might never recover any of it again. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the software :P And I'm also not sure if it's even for free. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

That's good news! However, I just have to ask: why did your office mate even reformatted your machines without informing you? That was rather strange - usually it's ordered by the system admin for machines to be reformatted and even then, they'd inform the people when their systems will be wiped off clean and give them enough time to back up everything...

thanks for the reply. my officemate already recover some of the files but not all. i think they use all the software that we found in the net. some file was recovered by different software and so on then they compile all the files they recovered.

I'm sorry, but once a hard disk has been formatted, it's very difficult to recover the files. It may be possible, but not without specialized knowledge and equipment. There are various software suites out there that claim to be able to do it, but I don't know how well they work. Generally, once a drive is formatted, the data is gone.

I heard that there was a software in net which could help one to regain the document that has been deleted or formated! But I have never tried. You'd better have a try. GOOD LUCK!

I used a software named EasyRecovery Professional to restore my files. It is a good solution for data recovery.

Hello, Yes there are many softwares available online that can recover your formated files. I had the same problem with my hard disk actually my HDD was crashed and then i formated that ,after i got a software called "PCI file recovery" which recovered my whole data.
