We all know its wrong, it doesnt matter what form. Lets discuss a situation that I heard about.
A baby is not breathing and is rushed to the hospital. They revive the baby. They discover that the baby was a victim of Shaken Baby Syndrome. The mother admits that she did this to the baby. The father knew this, but was trying to cover up, to protect his wife.
Is the father just as guilty as the mother? I say YES!!!!

Please accept a comment from someone that has been there. My children are currently in state custody. For a little clue as to why, you can see my running commentary with gvannorman above. My children's father was at first asked to colarberate that I was a bad parent in order for him to get custody of the children. He did this thinking he would get all rights to the children, the state would back out, we could move on with our live. Haha. Anyhow, after they took his statement they then put down on record that he was just as 'guilty' as I was because he knew that this was going on and did nothing to prevent it. So, mark my words, this father may be testifying to 'get off scott free' now, but there will come a time for this to fall back on him and that child will be in state custody. And in her case I do think it is for the best.

Yes, he is just as guilty. He had an obligation to protect his child. The child should be removed from the home until the parents have proven that they are capable of caring for him/her in an acceptable manner...which includes child care classes.

The baby has been removed from the home. The parents are not currently together. I believe that the father is going to tesitfy against the mother in this case, but he should be charged himself.

Yes, I agree with that. Both should be guilty as the father knew this he should stop his wife in the first place instead of trying to cover up. Parents are supposed to protect and love their kids not to do harm to them. They should be punish for doing that.

Thank you, but with the want to punish someone for this crime. The DA offered a plea bargain to the father to tesitfy against his wife. I think that they should just go and try and convict both for Deliberatly Inflicting harming a child.

I would say yes. Nonetheless, the baby is their baby, not someone else. He/she is their blood. They should take extra care of the baby, and giving all their love to him/her. Not to abuse him/her. What in earth are those parents thinking?
