Hey All, Do you guys have a habbit of turning off your cell every now and then. I dont have this habbit becuase whole the time i will recieve important calls. Only time my cell is switched off is when it doesnt have charge. But i have seen people simply switching off to avoid calls during thier private times. Like my co workers. They always switch off thier cell phones during weekend, so that no one trouble from office during weeked...? So do you guys have this switching off habbit for any reason...? Have a nice day. Regards, Jnk3dfx

Keep it down. I am on the phone.lol - I turn off my cell phone on weekends when I don't want to get disturbed.
Hello jnk3dfx. I usually turn off my cell phone before going to bed and on my days off when I don't want to get disturbed. Just last weekend, I felt so sorry that I did not turn it off and was called to go to another city to have a seminar, spoiling my day off. I complained about this to my immediate boss jokingly. So I will not turn it on next weekend any more in order to enjoy my weekend to the full. Have a good day, friend.

Hmmn. Just like my colleague, lot of the time i have seen colleagues not switching on thier cells on weekend so that they can awoind office calls. But i feel verybad on that because, you have to be commited when you are doing a responsible job. Anyways each people will have thier own excuses for not switching on thier cells. Thanks for replying to my discussion, have a nice day ahead.

Sorry Friends, i was aways from mylot so didnt reponded. Anyways ya there are some place where you need to switch it off to keep clamness of area. Places like Church, temple, like library you need to switch it of atleast put it in silence mode. As you told it is not a problem for you at home to keep your mobile alive all the time. Good. Thanks for response. Have a nice day ahead. Regards, JNK

I never turn off my mobile and its very rare that the charge also is reduced most of the time, i see to it that it is charged, i always keep my mobile in silent mode of course not only when i am in the office, i also keep it in silent when i sleep, once i am awake i see to what all calls i get and call back as per the priority. I never turn off my mobile, i dont like turning off infact and once if at all turned off i feel its a big work again to turn if on to make any urgent call or send an sms, hence,.... always my mobile will be in silent mode.

Hmmn. Quite a diferent habbit, though its good that you keep your cell in Silent mode. I think that gives you more batter back up. But i cant keep my cell in Silent mode for long time, because i would not want to miss my official calls. I will cost me a lot later. So most of the time or now a days my cell is always swithced on and not in silent mode. Anyways thanks a lot for responding to the discussion, have a nice day ahead.

I usually don't tunr it off since important calls from anyone might just arrive any minute and since my cellphone can last for days on why not just leave it open and just charged it off when it is discharged already. I really don't bother if a co-worker would call me.

I never turn off my cellphone, I am always expecting calls and most of them are important considering that I have a business to attend to. I would not be able to respond or perhaps lose the opportunity if ever I turn it off. Even during the weekends, its turned on. Maybe perhaps the only time it is off is when I lose power and have no place to charge it too.

I normally don't turn my phone off... I do take my battery out & put it back in once a week but only for a moment... It supposed to re-set the phone, I don't know... Sales guy told me this when I bought the phone & when my phone froze up few times, I called the tech & they told me the samething, to take the battery out once in a while... When I'm at a bank or church or places like that, I usually put my phone on vibrate & take myself out of the place if I have to answer the phone or make a call... I have blackberry & my emails are tied into my phone so I usually keep it on, may be 99% of the times...

Hey there! No, I don't turn off my cellphone. It's on the whole day 24/7.lol I always turn it on because there might be an important call or text message for me. If someone from work will call me on weekends and bother me It doesn't matter. I will not go to office on weekends. Unless they're gonna pay me a double pay for that day.lol Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

I only keep the cell phone on when I am going to make a call or if it is an emergency. We have our home phone so we do not need to keep the cell phone on all the time. Since I have weekends and evenings free, and since sometimes I am away from home during that time, and since there is usually a home phone nearby, I do not have to worry about it. The only time I needed to use my cell phone was when I had to call my son about my sister-in-law dying and when we had to call our Internet provider because a storm had knocked out the digital phone lines, but that was because first my son and I used the same provider, and the second because we had to call someone else at once. Of course, I would keep it on if I was in a park or the woods.

I never turn off my cell phone unless I'm someplace where it would bother someone like the library, church or Drs office. Sometimes I leave it in my car instead of turning it off.

I do turn my phone's ringer off quite a bit and set it to vibrate. But I will very rarely turn it off altogether. The one exception, of course is when I am flying on a plane. I don't use my phone for anything other than personal calls, so I would be afraid someone, family or friend, would need to get a hold of me and not be able to.

No, I rarely turn off my mobile phone since there are times that I am anticipating some text messages. When I'm busy and I don't wish to be disturbed, I simply put my mobile in silent mode, so I'll just read messages or return phone calls only when I feel like it. And there's no point of turning off my mobile, since people can only contact me, either by telephone or e-mail, so I don't get any private or quiet time anyway.
