I think it's a good thing that you are lost in a topic. It seems that the ideas flow and bring you to another part of creative journey. Why not just write whatever your minds create for you? Once you finish the writings, you may like review and split it into a few articles. This happens to me when I wrote about Outsourcing. Outsourcing is kind of like serious topic, and guess what, my creative mind took over in the end, and suggested that sleeping can be outsourced, so that we have more time to enjoy ourselves. So I ended up with 2 articles, one is serious business related article, another is creative writing.

Happy writing, apparently you do have a very creative mind. That is a gift, many people dont have that. I read somewhere that the characters in your story sometimes take over the story. They refuse to let you end the story in your original plot. Guess that is a common problem, so just got to listen to your characters, else they will boycott you.

I was once told by a college communications professor to "Write what you know".
My inspiration comes from things going on around me. My husband, my children, sometimes even my dog! I am always on the lookout for life lessons that can be turned into a devotion...which is my passion writing.
I do restaurant reviews and chit chat articles, but God has given me a gift to take his word and apply it to everyday lives for those around me, and that's what I love to do. That's the important thing in writing...is to write about what you love.

You need to jot down many ideas and then expand on each one. No one can sit and write articles endlessly. I am happy if I can get one done each week. I have so many things I work on that I can't focus on just doing articles. What I do is a bare bones outline, then I go back and expand as much as I can until I am at about 400 words.

what really inspires me to write is the environment where i am writing.. i love a very peacefull but an open space environment when i am writing. example for this is mountains, i am writing under a tree with a fresh air. that really inspire me to write whenver i feel that.

you get lost and then finally leave the topic. this means you get many kinds of ideas and then you are unable to weave them to give it a proper shape. you are no doubt creative, but you need to follow some rules of writing.
first of all, as you frequently get ideas, always keep a notebook with you and jot down your ideas as and when they come to you. in this case you would never forget any of your idea. if possibel place them according to the need of the topic.
then, when you write something, pick up the ideas that you have jotted down earlier. frame them properly. once you give it shape, let it boil down. read it after a day or after some hours.
when you read it after sometim then again you would have new thoughts and ideas to develop your work...
incase, you are unable to finish your work, kep it aside for soemtime. in the meanwhile keep thinking about it. try to finish it later.
probably, when you fall short of ideas or words you loose interest i the work.. so, now don't loose interest but complete your work in a few days time.
read as much as you can, this would give you different ideas to conclude your work.
