Wait... it is at the tip of my tongue!

Have you ever had so many thoughts running through your head at one time, that you know you have a lot of ideas churning in your head. And then when you finally get a piece of paper and pen to try and note down those ideas and thoughts, they suddenly disappear?
But you know that you had some great fantastic ideas that you know you have made mental notes of. But once you see the paper and try to put those mental notes down on paper, your minds goes into a state of blank!
Try as you might to recall those ideas that you just thought about a moment ago, but you just cannot get anything out. Not even a remote hint of what it was. But you know that the idea was good.
It just happened to me yesterday. I was sittind down on the bus making my daily commute home. AND I had so many thoughts and ideas for discussion topics in mylot running throught my head. So many of them and they are all rushing though my head. And I started to take mental notes as I do not have anything on hand to jot them down.
When I finally got to my desk at home, I just could pen any of those ideas down. It was like mere minutes ago I was still thinking about them when trying to open the gate to my home!
It is really weird how the mind works. One moment you are filling to the brim with ideas and thoughts. The next you are totally blank no matter how hard you try to remember.
Does it happen to you too?
Do you try to sit and recall those fantastic ideas you have? Or do you just shrug your shoulders and see if they will come back to you?

LOL =D YEah, it happens to me most of the time and i have learned a lesson frim it as well.. hehe ^_^
Whenever it happens at the very moment when i'm trying to jot it down and say it, my mind will go blank straight away..lol =D NO matter how much of hints i tried to make myself recall the actual things, i will only be remembering something close to it, but not the actual thing.. haha =D Though i cant quite remember what's the actual thing, but i can feel that what i've remembered for the moment is not the real thing.. lol =D
SO i came up when my own idea.. Whenever i failed to recall at the last minute, i will simply take my mind off it and be doing other things instead.. Most of the time, barely 5 minutes later, i will auto recall all those things again.. lol =D But by then, i'm no longer interested in those things anymore as it's past the excitment moment.. lol =D

Yeah... I know what you mean. Sort of like a heat of the moment thingy.
Where you really wanted to do something and that thought passed your mind.
But when you actually want to do it, you just cannot remember what it is.
By the time you remember, it is no longer so exciting anymore.
Happens to me sometimes!

LOL I can relate yes :)
I happens quite often actually. I use to try and remember all the ideas and was even a bit upset when I didn't, but honestly now I learned to not waste my time, sometimes the ideas come back, sometimes they don't, but I don't worry much over them.

TELL ME ABOUT IT!
It happens to me ALL the time and it's frustrating.
WHenever i'm in class, all these random thought just go through my head and i make mental notes of them.
But when i reach home and log into mylot, *poof* all these fantastic ideas have become non-existence. No matter how hard i try squeezing my brain juices, none would budge.

ha ha ha ha... so I am not alone.
You waited till you got home from school. For me, it is like less than a minute from the door of my home to my study room!
Imagine... all the missed opportunities to write interesting discussions on mylot to share with others!

That's why i carry around with me a notepad and of course a pen so that when an idea pops up, I scribble it down rapid fire so nothing in a split of a second could make *POOF* like you said. :-D
without my notepad and of course again, my pen, I'm just like most people with swollen tips of the tongue from all those stuck-up ideas.

Ha ha ha ha ha ... I just cannot help but laugh about the last statement!
A swollen tongue tip indeed!
Yeah, carrying around a pen and a small notepad does help a lot.
And it is really amazing how much thoughts run through your head in the split of a second that you are having them.
It is only when you start to review the ideas you jotted down that you realized that!

It happens all the time on a daily basis! I just have to hold out hope that the ideas return (sometimes they do) and hope I will have paper and something to write with nearby when it happens.

Yeah, that happens to me too. I leave it alone, and later, that same thought would come back to me.
And if possible, I will quickly jot it down lest I forget it again.
And the best part of it is, once you jot it down, you will remember that thought better without the need to refer to the piece of paper that you wrote it down in.
