Managed to get a few good movies to watch over the weekend. And one of them is the movie De Ja Vu. It is starring Denzel Washington as Doug Carlin, a ATF agent roped in to investigate a ferry blast. As the ferry was carrying military personnel, all the major agencies in America is roped in to investigate the case. One of the agents from the FBI is Agent Pryzwarra. Impressed by his (Doug Carlin) eye for details, Agent Pryzwarra invited him to join the surveillance team leaded by Jack McCready in the investigations, using a time window and Einstein-Rosen bridge through seven satellites to look back four and half days in time to seek out the suspect behind the blast. Working on a hunch, Doug Carlin linked a washed up corpse that looked like it was a victim from the blast. But there is more to it than meets the eye. As the plot builds, Carlin discovers that the so called time window is actually a view of the past in real time. And there is the possibility of going back to that time in the past to prevent the blast from happening. This is where the pace pickes up and the events that ensues bring light upon some of the oddities that was revealed earlier in the movie. A very exciting movie to watch. And an interesting play on Einsteins's theory of time relativity. A movie that is recommended, for its interesting storyline and the action pace nearing the end of the show leading to the finale.

I am not sure if it is already shown on HBO or not. Cos I never subscribe to it. I rented the DVD and realised that I watched it before. But the movie is still good even when watching it the second time around! The show is quite evenly paced. And the build up to the finale is really nice. Worth a watch if you have the time.

I watched this movie too and it was pretty good. It definately has a fresh plot as I don't think I've seen one quite like it.

Yeah... I too like the story line. And found it extremely refreshing. And it also goes to show that there are still some good scripts writers around. The ones that can really write something that is not churn of the mill, different versions of a similar story.
