how to keep going

i envy people who were able to stay in a company for so long, like five years or more, my father never left his first job, up to now he's there and will retire in a few years. i could never stay in one company for a long time. my longest stay in one company is a year and three months, and now im looking for another company again, a lot of people are resigning here in our company because we don't like the management. so im just wondering how other people were able to manage and stay in a company for so long, what's your secret??? hakunamatata!!!

I have been in my current job for 20 years now. I am able to stay in my current job for a long time because of the following reasons:
1. The company has not fired me. (LOL!)
2. I love what I do, and
3. I am contented with everything that concerns my work--pay, environment, type of work, people I work with, etc.

I wanted to quit during the first few months at work but then once I got the hang of it, I began to love it. Maybe another big factor that kept me from quitting was the proximity. My office is just 1 km away from where I live so it is just a very short ride to and from work. Sometimes, I can even walk home from the office.

Hello! I have worked in an government office for a period of thirty five years and retired from the service ten years back and getting pension which is my sole income for our livelihood.thanx.
