Any great Caribbean snorkling destinations you would recommend?

About 3 years ago, I finally overcame my fear of water and started snorkling. I'm so hooked! I now spend at least one to two weeks vacationing in a destination that must, just mush have snorkling. This past year we snorkled in Grand Cayman. Spent numerous days off Rum Point, did Sting Ray City (unfortuantely the sandbank only). We covered the whole beach front from about 1/2 mile up from Morritts, right down to past the next resort (whose name slips my memory). BTW loved, loved, loved, St. John, USVI. Enjoyed St. Thomas - but too many tourists. We like a destination with "off beach" snorkling, as well as some additional water snokling. Need off beach as we'll spend 4 to 5 hours daily in the water. So where would you recommend we try next?

i really love snorkeling and have done that in so many different locations in the world. I suggest that you go to Tobago and that would be a super place to go snorkeling. One of the best places that I have been snorkeling is in the Caribbean sea and it is in the Central America country of Belize. It is an English speaking country. I loved staying on Caye Calker, an island. I did some excellent snorkeling from there. I snorkeled with nurse sharks and sting rays. You might like Central America and find it less touristy as well as cheaper than the islands of the Caribbean like the Cayman Islands.
