What is "LIFE" for you ?

There a numerous metaphors associated with life. If some say life is a struggle, some would say life is a challenge , meet it, some would go still ahead and declare life is a battle field and fight like a brave soldier, some would put Live is a give and take ( just you give me more and you take less from me!!!)The pilgrims would say "life is a pilgrimage", some say live is a voyage go foe this and complete and the defeated souls would say "life is a burden, go and lift on your soldier." And the poet like people would put is " life is a dream".
Now with so many metaphors( some are left )just tell me how I accept life to be the better driver if not the best.
Many philosophers have argued well as to what should be our life on this earth like but no two philosophers agree upon all points and the poor souls like we are left at the cross road think hard which way to opt for.
Have you been in similar situation ever?

Dear friend, I always look at life as a beautiful gift from God.As it is thrusted upon us without our consent it is the best way to look at it.If we consider it as a burden and try to carry it surely becomes the iron ball chained to our legs.I prefer to look at life as an opportunity to relish the best things that it can provide us like the decent friendships,love ,concern ,the wonderful wedding partners,beautiful children and the panorama of scenic beauties of the entire world.

Hello my friend krajibg Ji,
I am strong believer in Almighty, and i would love andwish to live the way my master
wants me to live. Life is not a bed of roses. It is very hard. There are lucky people
who are born with silver spoon in their mouth, but there are more number of people suffering.
So if otehrs can live under sufferings, why not me. Lewt's think. Let's live natural way.
I always say, face challanges in the life, andlife will become easy going. may god bless

Every second, God wants to test us is very true. But God is very simple, God follows
certain rules and regulations. He has niether any enmity nor friendly, he does his job
as per rules. Only, we have to get rid of our 'Ego' and purify ourselves, which is very
difficult task, resulting in our sufferings. may god bless you and have great time.

Leaving everything to the Almighty would not be correct always. For I have seen God playing trick to test you and in such situation you must be on guards or you will be no where but I agree with you that happiness in whatsoever situation you are is the best thing in life.

To me life is just that, LIFE! You walk, you talk, you breath, you are there, you were given LIFE! You never asked for it, but it was given to you anyway, now it's up to you just how you are going to deal with this LIFE thing you were given. Are you going to fight it every step of the way and have a bad out look on it or are you going to embrace it, and enjoy every breath you take with the excitement of a child as you witness another new day? Life is just that, LIFE! Either embrace it or turn away from it, the choice is yours!

Well,I think life is a journey.We travel different ways and have different experiences.Some travel far,some never leave their hometown.So,no matter what happens in our life,never take it too seriously coz it'll be a past thing when we get home_ back to the place where we came from.Life is also like a drama,everyone plays different parts.Heros,commoners,whatever,will be all the same when the play stops.What do you think?

Life is a mystery. It is a game ....it is a battlefield.....a journey. Whatever you call it, there is a way to enjoy it. Just be positive and move one.

Mine is a merry-go-round!
Sometimes it slows down and others join me and sometimes it goes too fast and they get thrown off and indeed I have to hang on tight to be able to finish the fast bit and still be there when it slows down too. It's like sitting on one of those horses while going round and round in circles and up and down at the same time, gathering the view on each circle that it takes and getting hit sometimes if I'm looking in the wrong direction.
One day it might slow down long enough for me to get off and look at it from a different angle but for the time being I'm perfectly happy to continue the ride, bumps included!

It is all those things! I think we are put here in order to learn spiritual lessons. We are given bodies to help us learn those things because some things can be learned only through deprivation or overindulgence. If we look at life as a battle, a challenge, a pilgrimage and a classroom we will rise to our highest potential and life will be rewarding.

Life for me is a journey. A very difficult journey that can feel like hell sometimes but there is joy all along the way. The idea, I think is not to miss those opportunities for happiness, grab them with both hands because you don't know when you will be facing another bump along the road.

Well life has not been a bed of roses for me and some incidents in my life have made me realized that it is very tough to lead a life. Life is like a roller coaster to me but ups and downs in my life have made me more stronger and determined.

Good morning Rajib..I am a bit confused..I am trying to figure out if you are
looking for the definition of "what is life" or what life means to us by way of various metaphors. Both are different.
Life is cells. Cell need energy. Life uses metabolism that uses the energy to create waste.
Life is about reproduction. Although maybe everyone cannot reproduce, we are all a product of reproduction
When the metabolism has ended with no hope of restarting, life is over.
Life also evolves.
Now metaphorically speaking, life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs.
It goes fast and slow. It has its bumps and smooth rides. You can enjoy it or not. It can be overwhelming. It can make you happy, sad or afraid. It has a beginning and an end.
Now I prefer to enjoy that roller coaster, hold on for dear life, laugh all the way, respect other riders, and scream "what a ride"!!

LIFE -- life is what we take as it comes .. ups and downs .. success and failures .. smiles and sorrows .. we cant just avoid them,but have to face them . success makes us confident and failures makes us even strong enough.i think life is like an platform to prove ourself that we are that storng enough .

I like that saying "life is like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get" There is a lot to that although for the life of me I cannot remember what film that came from a man walking across America .It depends on what walk of life you lead what you would use to describe it.My life is ok no struggle so mine is easy but someone who works night,day ,to feed the kids would call it a struggle and slog.My life has been a slog in the past so I can understand other people.I think that is what it is all about understanding each others plight and accepting it till things get better,that is all I can come up with.

Life is what we make it according to some. There is designed life for each other, however, others may say. Some experience a beautiful life since birth others a mesirable one from the start to the end. Yes life maybe a dream that when realized later you can conclude it's the life you dreamt for. As for me, life was so simple from the start, you have to strive hard in order to achieve something. There are times that when you got into another phase of life, trials come in. You'll experience sadness, difficulties in raising the family being alone, hardships in order to give your family a better life. Everything then is a challenge but thru hardwork, faith in God and love for the family, you survive trials and surpass the challenges. That makes life exciting, diappointments and hardships first before joys and success.

Life is all about opportunities. By living, we get the opportunity to be happy, to be sad, to be angry, to love, to hate, etc. We also get the opportunity to choose what we like and no one can ever tell you what to do because it is your life. The saying "Life is about decisions" can be extended to "Life is about deciding which opportunity to take."
