How frequent you contact your best friend?

Hi, if you and your best friend are apart by few hundred miles away, how frequent you will contact him/her? My best friends are in different profession and they are all staying quite far away from me. I only contact them when there is special occasion, such as new year, their birthday. I do miss them but that is something deep in my heart. Occasionally, I will give them a surprise call to check out how is thing going on and have a great chit chat. That is only about two or three times a year. How about you?

i contact my bestfriend almost everyday..though we dont see everyday because he is at work and i am in school, i always leave offline msgs to his ym...and then tell him how much i miss him and how much i want to see him...and he does the same thing to me..^^

my college days bestfriend, we contact not that often nowadays, because she already a family with two kids, very seldom texting each other, well im busy also.. one of my bestfriend is my neighbor, so we see each other very often in a day LOL..
and my other bestfriend is my new found friend, we have the same work place, so we see each other everyday, we eat together, go to the salon together, window shopping.. hahahaha
