are you one of them, if so why do you not eat pork, is it for religious reasons or a personal decision?
I do not eat a lot of pork, every now and then I will have bacon, I do not eat ham because I do not want to, it is just a personal choice for me, what about you?

Islam prohibits pork eating .. I am not muslim so i dont know the reason but Islam do prohibit its followers to eat meat and so you would find billions of people not eating pork. I got no inhibition about pork eating but i dont like its taste and it is not popular much in this part of India and it has so much of fat so i avoid it. I like chicken taste 10 times better than pork so i stick to chicken

Pork isn't eaten by Muslims because it's considered an unclean food. Pigs will eat anything. They're scanvangers. If they're raised domestically, and you know what you're feeding them is good, clean food I feel that their meat is acceptable, but I'm not Muslim or Jewish. I respect and understand their view on this.

Thanks for letting me know why they dont eat it. Well eating meat is a personal thing and as a Hindu i dont eat Beef as it is banned in our religion but if someone from my religion or other religion wants to have it i got no problems with it but not in my house and i would expect not to offer me in a party or anyother place

I like pork but it definitely isn't my favorite meat. I like ham and bacon and love ribs but things like pork chops, cutlets or roast I can usually take or leave. Sometimes there's just something about pork that tastes like poop smells. I know that sounds gross but it's true for me. Bacon and ham are cured to they taste fine and I think because ribs are cooked for so long and basted in all that yummy BBQ sauce they don't have the weird pork/poop taste/smell.

I don't eat much meat at all. I do eat pork though in the form of ham, sausages and Italian salami quite often. I amnot fond of roast pork, preferring beef or lamb.
This has nothing to do with religios choices but only to do with the choice determined by my taste buds.

I do eat pork. I grew up eating it. We lived on a farm with chickens, pigs and milk cows. We had no refrigeration, so for meat we could slaughter a hog, smoke it and salt cure it and it would be preserved for future use. Or we could have a chicken which would be eaten in one meal. Beef needed to be frozen and we had no freezer, and the cattle brought more than the pigs when they were sold, and didn't reproduce as quickly as the pigs. It was an economic "thing".
Unfortunately store bought cured pork can't compare to the way my Dad cured it, but it's still a more familiar taste than beef.

I had an Aunt who lived on a farm and a certain time of year she would take her pigs to the slaughter house. She too, would salt cure the meat. My mother used to love it when my aunt sent her ham slices.

I am just about to put a ham in the oven. I eat it as much as i eat chicken, but not as much as I eat beef.

It's a personal decision. It just doesn't appeal to me. I don't eat beef either. I feel that in the modern world there are so many choices of foods that are readily available that I can pick and choose.

I used to eat pork before but since i've got diabetes already, i'm not allowed to eat red meat anymore.. but that's okay because i'm loving my new lifetyle.. =) now, i'm into lots of fishes, veggies, fruits and high fiber foods..

I do eat pork such as ham and bacon. However, I do not care much for pork roast, ribs or chops. I think it is a head thing, not sure.
