In my case since I don't have a work until now since last year when I gave birth with my son, I don't buy too much expensive clothes. I wait until it gets discounted or I just go to other shops and look for cheaper apparels. I just buy items that are expensive if they are for my son and husband. I don't really give too much importance on price but it is on quality and on clothes comfort. I like buying cheaper clothes for me but more famous clothes for my husband and son. If for me I am contented as long as the cloth is nice to me and the price is affordable. With my husband he loves Giordano and I must say I really have a hard time buying those clothes for him. I promise to myself once I get a job again after hiring a baby sitter I will apply again and buy clothes for my husband. He is not very particular when I buy him cheap or expensive as long as it is Giordano. Be it on sale or not.

Shop without a discount? To do that I would have to really NEED...I'm talking do or die situation...that item right away. I support my family on a single income, and it is no secret that money is tight for me. We have enough for the things we need but we rarely have anything more for luxuries. And, yes, like any woman I do love to shop. But for me, shopping has become a challenge and a sport at the same time. I have to find ways to stretch my money as far as it will possibly go. My first stop is always the thrift stores. I have found some amazing, nearly new items for a fraction of the retail price. When I can spend $50 and come away with a bag full of clothing, that is the best feeling! I have also found some excellent deals at rummage sales and garage sales. The next step is the department store. I always check the sales racks first. And if I find something I like but it's not on sale, then it can wait. Only when I need the item right away will I consider paying full price. Like the year the first snowfall came early in the season and my daughter didn't have a winter coat. Even then, I will comparison shop a few stores for the best price, and try to shop at the stores where I have in-store bonus points cards.

Hi tudors...well I guess it all depends..I would much rather shop in a consignment or second hand shop. Its much more fun and less expensive. Even in clothing stores, I head for the sales racks first. However if there is something that really catches my eye, and it is for someone other than myself and I feel they would love it, I will buy it It is very seldom that I would do that for myself.

well it depends,if i have enough money left i will buy the clothes specially if i really like it and if it looks good on me..but if i dont have a budget for that i will just ignore it or probably i'll just wait for the next sale where the items are discounted.

If I want to have the clothes very badly, I buy it even if it is not discounted. I am such an impulse buyer. But there are also certain clothes that are way too expensive to buy I do have to wait for it to go on sale.

I will not care about the price of the clothes if I need it, and I mean I need it now. If I can wait for the discount, then I probably don't need that clothes, and the result is I won't buy that clothes. ^.^

I almost never pay full price for clothing of any kind. Everything eventually goes on sale, so why pay full price?! I worked in a retail store for a summer after my divorce, and once I really saw what the mark-up was on their clothing I was shocked! When you pay full price for an item, it's just like giving the store extra just for the privilege of selling it. The cost of clothing is so inflated it's amazing! They have things made overseas where labor is cheaper, then they bring it here and sell it to the public for such high prices it's unbelieveable the profit that a store gets when it's sold at full price. For myself, I no longer buy into that belief that full price means better quality...it doesn't. Buying clothing on a discount is great, it doesn't mean it's inferior quality, just that that particular item didn't sell as well, or there were a lot in that size left over after that season was done.

Yes I would if I really like them. I usually go to a store where I buy most of my clothes from and they would give me a small discount each time. But even if they don't and I see something that I really like, I would still buy them.

I have started purchasing a large amount of clothing at consignment shops for my family. I think it has actually become an addiction! The consignment shop I shop at is in my small town. Each day they have a certain color tag 50% off as well as a certain item (sweaters, jeans, etc.) 50% off. They also have a $.99 rack. I stop in about once a week and begin my bargain hunting. I never purchase the items at full asking price, I wait for the 50%. Recently I purchased 6 pairs of jean shorts for my daughter and paid $8. They were all American Eagle, Tommy, Gap.

I agree. actually , there is no clothes that can not priced down. all we need is to wait, to encounter a good deal. After all , clothes for women is only one more addition to the closet. thanks. Enjoy your big discount.
