Helium down for international users?

I signed up with Helium last year so that I could write articles, create a niche to improve in and of course earn money. My articles weren't really good but they were ok and I was hoping to really start writing on helium again. I tried to log in today and got an error message that said they weren't set up to provide an optimal experience for international writers. Nothing against Helium but I was really disappointed to see that they no longer allowed international users in. I never had problems with the site before. It's a real shame. Has anyone else been having issues or is this specific to some countries?
