haha, this is a interesting discussion. When I was in primary school,I just used blue pen, because in my opinion, the color of pen ink should be blue.I don't know why I have this impression. Then, as I found my teacher use a pen with black ink and it looks so clear and bright,I began to use black ink of pen till now.
Good luck and happy mylotting.

I like to use both the color of the pen dosn't really matter to me unless something specifies other wise and i have to use that colored pen. I generally will use both black and blue a pen is a pen as long as you have some thing to write with i can't get picky on the color.

Whichever is handy. I have been known to start a sentence in blue and finish it in black, or vice versa - but at least I reserve such lunacy for my own notes and writing. I even have a green pen floating around somewhere. I have found that my black pens are quicker to part company with me, (i.e. get stolen) than my white ones.

i use whatever is available. what i don't get is, when filling out important forms (business forms or legal forms), black ink is often required. I mean that's just such a hassle to me when only blue inked pen is what i brought with me. what's the big difference anyway if it's written in blue instead of black. DUH... LoL

Hi,
I use blue and same my colleagues in office, because we are not allowed by our office to user another color pen except blue pen.
Blue pen and writing on white papers only are the standards of our office and we have to go with our office standards, but sometimes when i write for my own i use different colors ,black, blue even red.
Cheers

Actually I am not very particular with the color of pen I use. Blue or black is okay with me. Though there are times that I have to use black for example when afixing my signature to a certain documents. But in general both could be used...

I use black and blue. I also use different color pens. I like using different color pens. I jot down alot of notes on my note pad when Im talking on the phone to clients or writing down a message before I offically put it in the phone call log at work, so writing in different colors helps me remember what day a certain phone call was. I can just look at my note pad and i remember oh this must have been tuesday cause I was using a green pen or what-ever color it was that day.
I know it sounds weird but it works for me.

I think that years ago when mostly letters were written and then mailed snail mail, black was the color of choice for a formal letter or invitation.
I have a set of extra fine point pilot pens that I keep hidden from the rest of the family. They are many colors. There is black, blue, green, blue green, violet, red, and pink. I love to change out the colors when writing in my journal. A letter sent to a friend is really interesting in multiple colors. I love taking notes in different colors. As for homework, I think it is best to stick to black or blue. Some teachers do not enjoy colors beyond the usual.
