Ok, I'm confused here, maybe some of you can help me out. Prs. Obama considers GITMO a national embarrassment and is talking about shutting it down. Democrats have called for the impeachment of frmr Prs. Bush because (among other things) he refused to respect the rights of the detainees.
However, Prs. Obama announced that the detainees taken in Afghanistan have no Constitutional rights. Not only that, but he hasn't said anything at all about changing the status of the detainees to Enemy Prisoners of War. He also hasn't shown any interest in changing the name of the war from "The War on Terror" to anything else.
If Prs. Bush was labelled an American terrorist for these things, why don't Obama supporters care that he is continuing the same policies?

Well it's been up for 3 hours now and not one Obama supporter yet to defend this or agrea with it, or disagrea for that matter. It's astounding, things people were screaming for Bushes head over are given a nod or ignored when committed by Obama. I have a really hard time getting my head around it. Either you are for a principal or you are not, no matter what party commites the act.

I'm willing to give them more time, but it does seem typical.

Lets see... "you need to give him time", "give him a chance", "he hasn't been in office for even a 100 days yet", "the economy had priority, he'll get to this, he will CHANGE things"....
Lol, I have the same questions you have, but I already know the answers I'll get. I'm more wondering how long they will stick to this mantra...

As long as they still think mindless mantras make them look intelligent.
